I placed a deposit on a puppy with Mrs. Porter-O'Keeffe the beginning of April 2012. The deposit was supposed to hold a specific puppy for me. My family and I ended up purchasing a home about 3 weeks after I placed the deposit. This created some financial stress when we ran into some unexpected issues with our home buying process. I kept in contact with Mrs. Porter-O'Keeffe during this time frame to let her know that I was very sorry but I would have a delay with the purchase of the puppy. During this time I never received any e-mails or phone calls from her about the situation. Fast forward to this past week the 2nd week of September, I was finally ready to pay the remaining balance. I tried e-mailing, calling, leave voicemails, and even sending Facebook messages. She has not and will not respond. I gave her ample time to respond to me to work out some sort of agreement but she will not respond. I tried working this out between the two of us but it is obvious that she does not want to deal with me. Well, maybe she should not have took my money if she did not want to deal with me.



Please do yourself a favor do not purchase a puppy from Mrs. Porter-O'Keeffe. There are so many breeders out there who will treat you like a valued customer and will respond to you in a timely manner. This is bad business. I am a very kind and understanding individual, I even sent one last e-mail telling her that I would be writing this report if she did not want to work things out between the two of us, and yet she still ignored that e-mail. Does this sound like someone you want to do business with? I have 4 children who have been excited about bringing the puppy home and now I have to find another puppy even though I paid Mrs. Porter-O'Keeffe $300. Obviously she has a sense of entitlement and she feels as though she can keep my money and not respond to me, why you ask. Well because I am not the first person she has done this too and she keeps getting away with it.



Do not be fooled by her loyal Facebook fans or followers, just because there are people who have had a positive experience does not mean you will too, do you really want to gamble with your hard earned money?



I never did anything wrong here. I kept in contact with her, I never asked for a refund. I simply want the puppy I put a deposit on, it's not too much to ask for, that is what I paid for after all.

I am writing this follow up to say that I made a terrible mistake. At the time of this posting when I wrote this report I was unaware that Lindsey had already mailed a refund check for the full amount that I paid her, $300. My husband has received the check, but due to his hectic work schedule failed to notify me that he did. I wrote the report fully unaware of this. Please understand that writing this report was my error. We are only human and I made a mistake, please do not let my mistake reflect Mrs. Porter-O'Keeffe's reputation. As you all know, this report is forever and neither myself or Lindsey is able to have it removed. Do not let this report sway your opinion of her, she is a very kind and understanding person with many, many happy customers. Thanks
