I received a call from these people about a credit card debt from 1998. They said that in April of 98 I accepted a credit card from Capital One and that I stopped making payments in May of 99. They said I owned 1400 dollars including intrest. If I would just send them 99.00 a month for 6 months all would be forgiven. I replied that I had never had a capitol one card. I then called Capitol one to check on this. Capitol one could find nothing on the account # that portfolio rec had given me. Also nothing on my name or social #.
