On 1/23/13 my wife received a so call settlement offer from portfolio recovery associatesLLC in care of Capital One Bank N.A. for3,231.81 and they are saying that they will settle 646.00 and owe nothing more!!! What a joke, what company would do that? right! My wife and i had a card with capital one 13 yrs ago and filed chapter 7 on it. the bankruptcy was off our credit in 2008,and we havn't even tried to get another credit card sence, cause we deal with cash only. thats how i knew right away that it was a scam.
where can we get help for this matter?
