I recieved a letter from Portfolio Recovery Associates on March 25, 2017 dated March 18, 2017. They claim I owe $1,415.76 from an alledged account I opened in August 22, 2005 with Dell Financial Services LLC, creditor being CIT ONLINE BANK. I called and talked to a representative of PRA who told me the alledged debt was placed in a bankruptcy filing in 2010 and also told me that the "statutes or limitations has expired on this".


I have filed a dispute letter in writing to this company stating this is not my debt. I also added that anything bearing my name is a forged document.

Mr. Strother, per our phone call 4-27-2017, I received a letter from Dell stating, "Dell Financial Services sold thid account and no longer services the debt." Also, "Any claims of unauthorized use or fraud are the responsibility of the entity that purchased the debt fron Dell Financial Services. Please contact the purchaser with any concerns you have surrounding the debt."

I tried to reach you by phone 4-28-2017, with no luck.

After approximately a month of waiting for a reply from Dell Financial Services, whom Portfolio Recovery Associates told me I need to talk to, I received a letter from Dell stating,"Dell Financial Services sold this account and no longer services the debt". Upon trying to contact Portfolio Recovery Associates 3 times today, 4-28-2017, at 4:33 p.m., 4:34 p.m., & 4:35 p.m., I received no answer. I have proof of this on my phone call logs. I believe I have been "baited & switched". PRA told me I need to contact Dell and now Dell tells me I need to contact PRA. The letter I received from Dell also states, "Any claims of unauthorized use or fraud are the responsibility of the entity that purchased the debt from Dell Financial Services. Please contact the purchaser with any concerns you have surrounding the debt." Again I say to Portfolio Recovery Associates, this is NOT my debt!

 I received rebuttal on my original report stating that employee Jerry Strother from Dell Financial wanted to help me with my issue. I was to call 1-800-283-2210 at X 7233492. I have tried twice to call this person and twice the Dell representative on the phone told me that there is no such extension and no such person. I guess I have no choice but to believe that someone at Dell is playing tricks who doesn't exist. This is also a form of rip-off that should not be tolerated.
