As many of you are frustrated with this magazine scam company, a possible solution is going to the Federal Trade Commission website (www.ftc.gov) and file a claim for this. The more people file against Active Periodicals, the more FTC is going to pay attention to this case.

There was a similar case against Diversified Marketing Services (DMS) in 1996, where FTC sued this company over a million dollar. However, apparently, this company didn't learn its lesson and kept on going on their business. In 2001, the FTC sued them again until they went out of business. I too am a victim of this and have been dealing with them for years now. I have already filed a complaint, therefore, I urge you to do the same thing. If you file the complaint through FTC.gov, make sure you refer the DMS case as well because they are using the exam same scamming techniques. It's also helpful to file a complaint through your State Attonrney General. Hope this helps.
