Complaint Review: Power Ford Valencia

Power Ford Valencia Samer Kobeissi Falsified contract / lied about cost Valencia California

When I bought my Ford Escape, the sales agent quoted me the price of $250 a month (roughly). We went into the finance office where Samer Kobeissi took over. I signed off at the agreed amount of $250/month (again, roughly). And yet, my bill in the mail was for $350/month (again, roughly). That's a full $100 a month, 12 months a year, on a 6 year payment-plan...$7200 more than the original price I signed on to.

Two years later my mom got a car at the same dealership, and experienced the exact same situation. She signed at roughly $150/month with the finance agent Samer Kobeissi, and yet she then got monthly bills of $250. An extra hundred a month at 3 years is an extra $3600.

I didn't realize it was the same finance agent until recently. And it's too much of a coincidence for us to experience the exact shady behavior from the exact same finance person. I'm sure this is a behavior he regularly repeats.

I do not know at what point the scam happened. I just know that we both signed contracts for a full $100/month less than what we were billed. Somewhere between signing with Samer and getting our monthly statements, and extra $100 was tacked on to our bill.

Your mom’s copy of the invoice [that she received at the time of purchase] has not been altered so she has proof of forgery. Take that copy and the forged copy to the Valencia Police Department. Good luck with the case.

You are not related to the case, so stop judging something that has nothing to do with you

“Bill and Ted much?”

I still have no idea what that means.
"Bill and Ted"...as in the movie...idiots who think stuff is "bogus"...that's exactly what you sound like when you use that word.

“are you closely connected with this situation?...do you work for Power Ford of Valencia?”

No and no.
Then why does it matter so much for you? All that you're doing is adding to the power of this post and exposing Power Ford of Valencia, as well as exposing Samer Kobeissi.

“No, I did not challenge them. At the time, I was convinced it was my own mistake.”

OK, in 2015 you are better able to recall an incident from 2008 than you were able to recall it in that same year. Why didn’t you challenge the bill in 2008? Had you already lost your copy of the agreement and moved six times before you received the first bill?
The fallacy of your conclusion is in your logic. It is not that I have a better recollection 7 years later; it's that I put the pieces together 7 years later. I knew then that the payments I was charged seemed off by about $100. And a few years later my mom informed me that her payments were off by about $100. But it wasn't until recently that I realized that it Samer Kobeissi did the finance for both of our cars. In other words, we both realized the problems immediately, but we didn't know of the "coincidences" until recently.

Has your mom challenged her bill by presenting her copy of the agreement?
How can she when the paperwork has been manipulated?

You posted an outrageous claim and have provided nothing to support it.
Again, what does it matter to you?

“Bill and Ted much?)?”

I have no idea what that means.

“Power Ford Valencia either switched documents or forged documents or changed numbers after signing.”

If they did any of those three things it would be easy to prove by presenting your copy of the financial agreement. Did you challenge them when they billed you for more than the agreed amount?

No, I did not challenge them. At the time, I was convinced it was my own mistke. It wasn't until my mom had the exact same experience, at the exact same dealership, and I realized it was the exact same finance person, that I became suspicious.

“I signed at roughly $250/month”

Financial agreements are exact; they are never “roughly”.

You are correct, agreements are exact. I do not remember it to the decimal. But it was roughly TWO-50, NOT THREE-50.

“We do not have the documents…”

Really? You posted the top portion of a document titled, Retail Installment Sale Contract-Simple Interest Finance Charge. Why did you conceal the lower portion of the agreement?

I do not have the ORIGINAL documents. I have moved 6 times and lived in 5 states since then. I concealed the lower portion because of personal information. Furthermore, the statement is what was sent to me AFTER everything was paid. The statement is NOT the ORIGINAL statement that I took home with me when I bought my car in 2008.

If that confuses you, the above statement does NOT equal the ORIGINAL statement. The above statement was sent to me AFTER paying everything.

You paid off a six-year loan in 2012. Did you purchase the 2008 vehicle in 2006? It would not have been manufactured before 2007. Did you buy it later than 2006 and pay if off early? Or is this the agreement for the second car?

Correct, I paid off a 6 year loan in 2012 for a 2008 vehicle. I am financially responsible, and paid my bills ahead of schedule. You're welcome.

I find it odd that you concealed your address and the VIN but left your name exposed.

I find you odd...why do you care?...are you closely connected with this situation?...do you work for Power Ford of Valencia?

Power Ford Valencia is a bogus company

How do you determine that my claim is "bogus" (as you so eloquently put it...Bill and Ted much?)?

Power Ford Valencia either switched documents or forged documents or changed numbers after signing. Somewhere between signing with Samer Kobeissi / Power Ford Valencia and getting my first payment, numbers and documents were switched. I do not know where the switching took place. I do not know if they were forged.

All I know is that when I signed to finance my car, I signed at roughly $250/month, and yet was billed roughly $350/month. Two years later, my mom went to Power Ford Valencia, and was financed by Samer Kobeissi as well. She signed to an agreement of roughly $150/month, and was billed roughly $250/month.

We do not have the documents because somewhere between signing with Samer Kobeissi / Power Ford Valencia and getting our first bill, documents were forged or manipulated. I'm not saying exactly WHAT happened, because I do not know. I am just saying that SOMETHING fraudulent and corrupt happened with financing our cars with Samer Kobeissi at Power Ford Valencia.

The portion of the contract you posted does not indicate the terms of the agreement. Please post the portion of the contract that displays the terms of the agreement to support your claim that the seller charged more than the agreed upon amount.
