Prakash Chand Fraudulent AE Credit Card Chargeback on Rental Toronto Nationwide

  • Reported By:

Prakash Chand who claims to be a serial enterperneur including a company called Ask the Doctors operates out of Toronto, CN (although his LinkedIn profiles says San Francisco).

Prakash Chand rented a suite from us in Sausalito California to build business in the San Francisco Bay Area.

After signing a contract for he and his family and staying over 40 days, he decided to stay longer and signed a second contract for another month while he "develops" business.  He  paid for his stays using the American Express Card.

Then after he returning to Canada, he reverses all the charges on a fraudulent American Express Chargeback, claiming he received no "services" even though next door tenants verified he stayed the entire length of both stays.

He states he will not pay and if we contact him he will contact his attorney.

Prakash is reponding to my report about his fraudulent chargeback on a rental that he rented for 43 days and then rented again for 30 days.  In both cases he reviewed and signed the rental agreements.   He claims on LinkedIn to be from the Bay Area but he really lives in Canada and comes to the Bay Area to try to raise money for his numerous companies.

Once he returned to Canada he called American Express and told them that he had purchased survices from our company rather than rented from me.   I missed the first American Express request for clairification because of travel, but caught the second.  Once I explained to American Express and showed them his signed contracts, they refunded the half of the money I caught and replied to.  The other was too out of date to be recouped.

I have never been scammed by a vacation renter like I was with Prakash.  I feel confident that he his trip here was not the business success he hoped and he decided to cut his losses by doing a fradulent charge back of rental expenses he contracted for and owed.   Beware of this individual.   My experience is that His word is not his bond.

Courtney Anderson Fraud - Beware of property rental of his (could be under name coalesce)

Courtney Anderson of Mill Valley, California posts fake pictures of properties on websites such as Air BnB,  zillow, vrbo

He tries to get you to wire him money (which thank god i didn't) and when you arrive he puts you in a completely different place than he advertises. Yet he wont reduce the rate and you are stuck with the property in a vunrebale position

He tries and scams his own merchant credit card processer by trying to get you to sign invoices that say you are advertising with his company Coalese.

I was lucky that American Express covered back half my charges and I will be pursuing the remaing half from them or in the court of law.

Beware of this con-artist and Fraud.

I urge you to make sure and be very cautious and careful when looking up on sites such as zillow and vrbo. I am lucky that I have been a long time customer of American Express and they helped me out.
