PRC*RAMADA PLAZA RESORTS 800-203-9783 FL PRC*RAMADA PLAZA RESORTS 800-203-9783 FL is nothing but a wicked scam DONT FALL FOR IT! Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
Well, I pretty much have the same story as all the others, 673 to be exact, who have filed a report about this "Ramada Vacation" Crap. I received this voucher in the mail about a week ago, and didnt think much of it until my wife and I looked it over and it looked legitimate. I called the first 1-800 number and it didnt work so I tryed again and this time i talked to some guy who made it sound like i had the best deal in the world, and that I should act fast in order to secure my reservation.
I talked with him for about 15 minutes, all the time thinking that this may be a scam but how could it be.. they had sent me a "certified voucher" with all these big name resorts and companies on the front. Well after realizing that along with this "voucher" of 1,600, they were going to charge me 798.00$$, I questioned this and told them that I wasnt interested.
He then transferred me to some other guy who promised me that he was going to do something extra for me just because "He didnt want me to miss out" on this once in a life time offer. He told me that I would have to give my credit card information to them over the phone just to reserve my vacation package.
I should have known is never a good idea anyway, but reluctantly after talking about it with my wife I decided that it was alright and gave him my credit card information. I want to say though that I asked him in no uncertain terms "Will I be charged tonight or will my card be charged when I receive this package?" He then replied that I WILL NOT be charged until I decide to book my vacation at any time up to 3 years from now. I was very clear that I did not want my card charged until I got the booking package later, and if it was to be charged than I was not going to go ahead with it. He assured me that it was not going to be charged. It was at that time that I gave him my number.
Then I was transferred to another guy who was supposed to go over the whole thing with me just to make things clear.. well I am glad that he did becaue while he was going over all the information.. he stated that the sum of 798.00$ was being charged to my account at that time. I stopped him and told him what I had told the other guy, who was still listening, because he put me on a 3 way conversation. After about 5 minutes of arguing with them I just said. I DONT want this.
I AM NO LONGER interested, and I want you to cancel this whole thing.. Well they responded by trying to promise me more "perks" yet, I was very clear. After this one of them (The manager) said to the rest of them. "Ok well Mr. Booher I am sorry we couldnt do buisness with you,... guys we are going to have to cancel this thing out." That is when I hung up. 3 more times that night they called me, and finally the last time I answered and told them that I was sick of them calling, it was almost midnight by this time.
I told them not to call again, and that was the last I heard from them. Right away I called my credit card company and warned them that I had given my card information out and that it may be charged, but that I did not want them to allow the charge. Tonight I checked my credit card balance due and it listed a charge to PRC*RAMADA PLAZA RESORTS 800-203-9783 FL , for $798.00.
Im absolutely ticked off!! Now I am wrapped up in all this, and I never even gave them permission to charge it AT ALL!! I wish that I had called them right back and made sure that they cancled it right then. If there is anyone out there who has found a successful way to get there money back from these scum bags than please let me know. I would really like to see justice done for all 674 of us who cant afford a real vacation let alone a rip off scam like this.
