Legal Shield provides a good, legitimate service

We have been using the Legal Shield Family Plan for 26 years and the Small Business Plan for about a year and are very satisfied with the service.  We have used the law firms in both California and Nevada, and our calls are always returned promptly.  The attorneys have always been courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful.  In California, you can look up the credentials of the attorneys, and the last one we spoke with was a graduate of Stanford Law School, so you know he is no slouch.

When my Attorneys for Legal Shield. Smart Scofield Shorter and Lunceford would not do anything!! I called the home office in Ada Ok. and contrary to the last remarks nothing was done. Yea they called me and gave me the spill that it should not have been handled in this manner but when I happened again I quit my membership. and It cost me my Associate agreement.

Because when I went to sign back up to keep my associate Agreement active. The company Legal Shield would not let me. Stating that I had made a complaint against the law firm so I was a risk. Then they had the nerve to threaten My 1st amendment rights if I continued to tell people about there scam. What Attorney or Legal service would threaten anyone over there 1st amendment rights? Scam all the way.

If you were not satisfied with the service you received from any lawyer, you can contact the company to make a complaint. They do investigate complaints against lawyers. Most of the time it's a lack of understanding on what is exactly covered and how it is covered under the membership.

Please contact the company's Customer Service Department when you have a complaint. They are very nice people who take the time to listen and help resolve your issue.  If you feel you are being mistreated in any way by a customer service rep, ask to speak to a supervisor. Don't blame the entire company for the way you feel.  Start again and contact the company. Be calm, and speak clearly. If the person who enrolled you did something inappropriate, they will terminate their associate agreement. I've seen them do it.

The company does not know there was a problem if you complain here or on any website.

I hope that info helped.

Useful info for anyone taking a look at the membership: READ THE BROCHURE and the contract front and back. That's important to do when you sign any contract. Once you're a member your attorney will read and then explain contracts for you. It doesn't cost extra. The brochure explains in simple language what is covered.

Take a look at how members use the service

As for Pre-Paid Legal Services, the company, go to the company website and READ the info for yourself. http://www.prepaidlegal.com  Everything is there. Go to Ada Oklahoma to speak to real people at the home office if you feel you have to.

Pre-paid legal Services Inc., is a New York Stock Exchange Company. Which means they are an "open book" company. Get your information from reliable sources, not on complaint websites.

The point is you don't have to listen to what anyone says about any company. Go look at real information for yourself. You need to see it, read it, from reliable sources.
