On January 2015 my dentist; Dr. Rise Martin, referred me to Stephen M. Schmitt, DDS, MS, for consultation regarding having an implant procedure done. I made an appointment with Stephen M. Schmitt to discuss pricing for his services. Upon arrival to the reception desk, I clearly stated that I was most interested in the general cost for the procedure.  I received no answer to this request. Stephen Schmitt only said that he was going to get an impression of my mouth; which he did.

Stephen M. Schmitt said nothing about the cost of the procedure. He sent me to get xrays at; iMagDent Radiology Center on 12/17/15. He explained the xray would be $300.00, and that he would bill me later. He gave me another appointment to be at his office for the results of the xray. I received no verbal or written estimate of the possible general cost of this anticipated procedure as of yet.

Upon my appointment, I was handed a detailed price list of $55,000.00 for the cost of the procedure for dental implants. I rejected the offer, since I thought the charges were outragious. The receptionist then handed me a bill for $1,000.00, which I paid immediately at the office.

His receptionist later sent me a second option for a similar procedure for $25,000.00. I also rejected this offer, since I have seen the procedure advertised for less.

I feel I was taken advantage of in my dealing with Stephen M. Schmitt, and Precise Smile. The representative on your TV show clearly verified to you and the TV audience, that the evaluation for services would be free.
