From FINRA

a company can sell its unregistered shares in private transactions (often called private placements), and such sales to investors are an essential source of capital for American business, particularly small firms. But these Investments can be fraught with riskincluding the fact that you cant be certain the company being touted will actually complete an IPO.

the unregistered shares offered to you could be part of a fraud.  The company might not existor, if it does, the promoter might be offering shares he doesnt have or that he acquired in a questionable transaction.  The fraud could also involve misrepresentations about the company and its prospects, including the likelihood, timing and pricing of any potential IPO.

Precision Auto Leasing not a scam

I am just one of the investors in this company that is still in a Pre-IPO mode of operation. I have frequent contact with the management and first hand knowledge about the daily operations. It is true that the company has not stayed on the original time line promised in making a public offering debut but what company ever does. There were mistakes made early on in the hiring of un-qualified accounting firms that did not understand the complexity of this unique company.

The accounting was miss-handled to meet the requirements for SEC filings and time passed quickly with tons of daily business falling in arrears. This situation has now been corrected with a recent hiring of a qualified accounting firm. The re-working of past business is a daunting and time consuming task but is coming along. We will be seeing past and current Profit and Loss statements soon. I will not promise when, that is beyond my scope. Business is brisk and our investment is not at risk. With hundreds of cars in inventory on leases and rent to own programs the model is working. We go into the new year with renewed confidence that our investment will bring everyone a return on their investment.
