Complaint Review: Predicto

Predicto I went to a web site to fill a personality profile and was as for cell # and then started getting text msgs. They set it up in order to get results of profile you have to enter a code that a texted to you. Totally unaware you are suscribing to a $9.99 fee. They it is in the disclaimer. I did not see a disclaimer. How small was it and how can they get away with this scam. They refused to reverse $$ Internet

I was online looking up a website and found a website for a free personality profile. In the process I was asked for my cell Phone number. I started getting all these text messages. In order to get the results of the profile I had to enter a pinn number which was texted to me. You are unaware you are suscibing to this service. You think you are getting your personality profile emailed to you. I was signing up for this service when you think you are getting your personality profile sent to you. I called Predicto and questioned them about the charges and how this site works. Predicto says you visited the site and entered your pinn number. That is not true. You are directly taken to the site thinking it's the next step to getting your personality profile emailed to you. You did think you were signing up for a service so you were not looking for disclaimers. This is such a scam. Never enter your phone numbers for anything. They can automatically charge you.

Predicto I was ripped off, too. INTERNET

I was also ripped off by Predicto, a "premium messaging service" that I did NOT sign up for. The company claims on their web site that you have to complete a survey, enter your cell phone and create a pin #. That is absolutely false.

I would never do this.

Verizon told me how to unenroll from this, but has not offered to refund my money yet. I am encouraged that other victims have been reimbursed.

Check your Verizon bills! I didn't notice it for 2 months, but wondered about the increase in the bill. I tried once about a month ago to find out what the "data" charges were, but did not receive a helpful response for the Verizon customer service person.
