Predictomobile billed me through Verizon for "premium text" subscriptions. We never signed up for these, never texted them a "code", never entered a "pin', etc. In fact, during the time period that Predictomobile claims this happened my daughter was in New Zealand (without her cell phone).

Verizon was able to place a block on any further "premium text" subscriptions, but told me that I had to contact the company directly for a refund. I made the call (I still cannot find a physical address for this company). The call was answered by a woman who barely spoke English and there were crying children in the background. She was obviously reading from a script.

Bottom line is I was told she would refer the complaint to "corporate" and needed my home address in case they decided to send a refund check. Now really...they billed this without knowing my name or address, so why wouldn't they be able to credit it as well?

This company has totally unethical and illegal marketing/sales practices. They probably don't list their physical address anywhere because they don't want people showing up at their door.

I have filed complaints with Verizon and the FCC, and I am not finished with this issue.

At least Verizon does have an option to block these scammers, unlike some of the other wireless carriers I have read about on this site. I cannot believe that the FCC has not shut this practice down yet.

These people need to go to jail
