Preferred Guest Resorts I was lied to, decieved, and scammed by Preferred Guests Resorts. I feel embarrassed and extremely upset. Do NOT want this to happen to anyone else! maitland Florida
I was ripped off by Preferred Guest Resorts! It started out that I received a phone call saying that I had won a prize (a $500 gift card to Best Buy) I was very excited because I needed a new computer monitor to replace the half pixilated one I currently possessed. I was just happy with that. Then the conversation turned into a sales call about vacation stay that I also “qualified for” this is where a flag was raised in my mind. I expressed my questions and concerns however, the gentleman I was speaking to seemed to have all the answers and correct professional verbiage to delude my negative thinking.
This is what I was promised: $3,000 credit toward the purchase of a $3,898 holiday package that includes: 5 nights at a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Hotel in Orlando, Florida. 3 nights in Daytona Beach, Florida. A 1 week Alamo car rental. A 3-night stay in the Bahamas, and a 4-night stay in Costa Rica....plus a $40 dinner gift certificate. This package is valued at over $3,898, but when you apply the $3,000 the cost is only $898 - less than $60 per day, not including the car rental and dinner certificates was what was promised. They had me even speak to their "legal department" (after I asked to verify the product/services I was purchasing) again, the woman representing this company sounded ligament!
I waited and waited for this postal-mail packet of information to arrive. After not receiving anything other than more promotional e-mails flooding my inbox, I have tried calling multiple numbers to ask when my information will arrive. I inquired about my purchased details. 1-800-656-2780. Also the consumer assurance line 1-888-261-8543, No one could give an answer. Kenneth Branch was the person I was referred to, even then I wasn’t given an entire number. (1-800-551964) ext: 335. Preferred Guests Resorts (PGR) entire company is a scam. I feel very sick to my stomach that I spent almost all of my Christmas money, set aside for family gifts, on this prize package. I even used two separate cards, splitting the purchase, to be able to afford this package. “it was a limited time offer, I couldn’t expect the same deal the next day because it expired at midnight for this incredible sale/deal” The sales people had a luring deception saying "this holiday package would make the best Christmas gifts for your love ones" they stated that the purchaser may transfer any of the prizes into a guests name as long as there was a two week notice before the trip. Preferred guest resorts had all the 'right' answers to my questions and concern. This would have been a fantastic deal and travel package if there would have been any follow through. The most heartbreaking part of this scam that impacted me the most, (besides the loss of almost $1,000) was that I promised my siblings, parents, and friends that they would get to go on these vacations with me, that was their Christmas present. (I have had to change my e-mail address, and close bank accounts, getting new debit card as well, in fear fraud do to Preferred Guest Resorts LLC). I am still extremely upset that there has been no resolution to this issue. Preferred Guest Resorts lied and deceived me. I now have nothing to show for the scam of my hard earned money.
