Premier Auto paid $440 for distributor on car.. car still doing what car did before distributor installed Took car back for one week which he kept and still no resolve Ripoff Carthage Indiana
Took my car, an 87 Honda Prelude SI, to Premier Auto because it was stalling out (dangerous stalling out as was happening when on roads when slowing down or coming to stop).
Upon "inspection", I was told it was the distributor "FOR SURE" and paid them $440.00 to repair/replace it....
Drove it home but 2 days later, it was doing the exact same thing...... exact same thing.
And, at a local gas station, as I went to get into car. it stalled out again........ BUT this time the same mechanic and wife happened to be there and witnessed what it was doing... he looked it over ... it started again and he said to bring it to his place of business the next day, which I did.
He then kept it for a week, trying to get it to stall, which he said he could not do and when I called him he finally told me to come pick it up as he thought it might be the fuel pump which would cost me $220 for the part .........but he didn't know for sure if that was the problem.........
IT's obvious it was not the distributor causing the problem and I feel I have been ripped off......
I have family and friends who have since told me he does this regulary. not fixing things and keeps trying to fix them as long as they want to pay more and more.
