In July of 2006 I contacted with a salesman from Premier Bathrooms to install a walk in tub for my mother who was 95 years old. The existing tile was to be salvaged & used to replace any tiles needed during the installation There were no broken or cracked tiles prior to the installation. However after it was installed there were cracked tiles on the walls & in the floor tiles. There were also holes left where the hold bars were removed & replaced in different positions. The tub itself was in working condition but the appearance of the bathroom was a disaster. Since the salesman said the company would not guarantee the product unless I used their installer I felt the installation should be of superior quality.
When I called the company they referred me to a man named Scott. He was often insulting in our ensuing conversations suggesting I wanted a new bathroom. The building is only about 15 years old & the bathroom did not need remodeling. We did finally agree that I would purchase all new tile since the original tile was no longer available & the company would pay for the removal of the tile & its replacement.

This causes great hardship as my mother has difficulty using the powder room as it is too small.

About 1 month after the new tile was installed there were cracks in the grout in the tub & the grout on the floor was coming out. The floor is a danger for my mother as it is not level & the chipping grout is an obstacle to her walker & could cause her to fall. There also was a chip in the tub. At this time my mother was in the hospital for a week & it was close to Christmas.
When I called Scott in January, he agreed to send someone to repair the chip & said the cracks in the wall tile were as a result of the tub settling & he suggested it could be caulked over. I rejected this as it would not look good. H offered to send the same installer again. I do not think this man has the knowledge of the process of installing tile.

I said I would not permit this man to do further work in my home. The same day this man called my home & left a message that he would like to come & fix the tile. I did not respond & have never heard from him again. I also have not heard from Scott even though he said he would get back to me.

The chip in the tub was repaired by another representative of the company but I told him I did not want the cracks to be caulked over as it was not a professional job. I am sure it would have to be done repeatedly over time. He said to be patient & Scott would get back to me. He has not & no one else has either.

When I had several tile installation companies come & give me an estimate to correct the tile job, they just shook their heads & said it would all have to be removed & replaced at a cost of about $3000.00. This is horrible since I have already invested $15,299.00 in the tub & tile etc. We are on a limited retirement & can not afford this

Also we would have to place my mother in an assisted living home during the process at an expense of $150.00 a day. Help, I am also a senior & can not take much more of this. I am sorry I ever contracted for this tub. Each day when I am in this bathroom my stomach turns over. I would be happy to have the tub removed & my money returned but I doubt that will happen.

I could never recommend this company to anyone or wish their work ethics on anyone.
