Premier-Holiday Vacations Threats from Premier-Holiday Cancun Mexico
We bought into the Premier-Holiday program in 2001. We were staying in the Park Royal hotel in Cozumel. We were scheduled to go to Playa but due to a hurricane, we ended up having to stay in Cozumel. While we were in town looking at the huge waves, we decided to take up the offer to stay at the Park Royal all-inclusive for $35 a night per person BUT we had to go to a sales meeting. We were strong and fought off the first person but when the second guy came along and offered us an option of 5 years for $39 a night per person to stay at the Park Royal we gave in. Not really looking at the contract but looking at the option we paid out $2,500.00 and $375.00. The Park Royal was nearly empty due to the Hurrican that had damaged most of the buildings but we enjoyed the lack of folks. We scheduled more trips and enjoyed them at the low price. Then another storm hit and they closed the hotel. We called and asked if the option just went over to the next year but they said no. Then I was calling Miami and it seemed like the folks were nice but clueless so I thought the program must be new. Finally someone called and stated that they started this maintenance program but that we would be getting additonal service, such as Great American Traveler cards and additional hotels. I thought it was a good idea so I paid the maitenance fee and got two of the cards for discounts for hotels and golf. I did use them but they also said they did not know who Premier-Holidays was. When we went to reserve a hotel room for a trip to Las Vegas we called up and got a room but we had to pay the $55 fee for reservation. We went on line and found the same motel for cheaper so we called them back and told them but we lost our money. We have never use them again. Now that was 4 years ago. When we had bought the option years ago the guy, had told us that if we come back to Park Royal to use our 250 nights we would get a low price like what we were paying. WRONG when we called recently it had balloned to $210 a night per person but we were not able to get that rate until we paid our maintenance fee. I told them that we did not have a maitenance fee in our contract and we were being declined what we paid for. They had us talk to Teresa Reeder(owners daughter) she yelled and would not listen to me until I payed the maintenance fee. She was going to send me to a collection company. We have nothing in our contract saying anything about a maitenance fee and we are not going to pay it. I believe this is a company that started out with good intentions but made a wrong turn with the help of crooked people looking for a quick buck. If I pay my maintenance fee they say that I owe I would pay around $2500 for the remainder of the 23 years I have left on my contract. If I am not able to use my contract I don't want it and I wrote a letter stating that and ready to send it but when I called and talked to a disgruntled employee they told me that it will not change any thing. They use scare tatics to get folks to pay them or make deals with them to keep the money rolling in. He said don't pay them get a lawyer and put them out of business, this all from an employee, poor kid. That is what I have been advised to do, hire a lawyer and call them out if they want to go to court, let's go. I think we all should get together and put some money on the table, get an attorney, and call these rip offs out. They have already been in the paper as frauds and now we have the owner's daughter running over us. There is no board of directors or owners that are reasonable. Her name is Teresa Reeder her # is 18662314635X111. Hound her like the collection agency hounds you.
