Early Nov. 05, I responded to a flyer I received in the mail stating that I was a guarnteed winner of some 'fabulous' prize. Yeah, a $15,000 car loan for a car that does not work!

They sold me a car off of their 'Back Lot'. This is the lot that contains misc. inventory, such as trade-ins etc. The 2000 Jetta VR6 had just been takin in on trade the evening before. It had not even been detailed, nor had the safety inspection been preformed on the vehicle which is supposed to be done prior to selling to make sure that the vehicle is safe and operational. They told me that I was to bring the vehicle back within 3 days for this inspection to be done and so they could detail it as well.

I called them the morning after my purchase with a couple of concerns; 1) the Check Engine light had come on and would not go off; 2) the transmission didn't sound right to me and I noticed that the car was not changing gears right. I took the car back in and I was told that they performed a FULL Inspection on my vehicle and that NO problems were found. I was also told that they had taken the car to Armstrong Volkswagon (across the street from Nissan of Gladstone) for my transmission concern so that Armstong could hook my car up to their machines to get any error codes. I was told that Armstrong had aslo found nothing wrong with my car nor the transmission.

I took the car in on one other occasion, and called a number of times with questions as to why the 'Check Engine' light kept coming on. I waa told that my car had been taken to Armstrong Volkswagon for the Safetu Inspection, and the other time for the transmission. When I spoke with Armstrong personally a few weeks later I was told that my car had not been to their dealership since August of 2005 while still under the pervious owners care. Therefore, Nissan lied to me, never performed the safety inspection and never took it to be checked for my transmission concerns.

These problems have now escaladed into thousands of dollars of work needed to be done on my car and it sits in my driveway, unable to drive yet still eating $360.00 a month of my money. I can't afford to buy another car, can't afford to fix the one I have and the rental car that Nissan provided me while the repairs were supposedly being made on my car was charged to my account 2 days ago.

When I spoke to the rental car company, the man whom helped us remembered me because I made him personally call Nissan and get verbal approval and confirmation from ERIC the Service Manager that they would be covering the rental car expense. When I asked for something to confirm this in writing I was told that I didn't need anything, that Eric's word was good enough for him.

Upon returning to Nissan 2 days ago, after trying to pick up my Jetta from Armstrong (it was finally towed there after weeks of debate on who was going to have it fixed and where it was going to be done and paid for)I was told that I was a liar, that they had never sold me a car off their back lot and when I told them that they lied to me about ever taking the car in to be hooked up to the machines at Volkswegon. They don NOT have the capability to hook the Jetta up to any machines at Nissan because they do not have the equipment.
