I was persuaded by a fax to call and find out about what seemed to be an attractive health insurance offer. I spoke with the agent who told me all the benefits which included just about everything and anything anyone would want. Did you hear "Too good to be true" in this?

They insisted that it needed to be done as an automatic debit through my checking account. I signed up and was immediately debited $345, then the monthly premium the next month for $225 and again the following month for $229.

First, I did not receive the mailed policy they promised and after consideration I decided to call premierehealthcare to cancel the policy. After abominably long waiting cues I I MIGHT get connected and they would transfer me to another department  -- each time they claimed they either were not the right party, or if I would ask to cancel, I might get shifted to an even longer telephone cue which after a half hour, eventually resulted in a disconnect.

When I searched online to find out who C3H was -- the name they used to deduct funds from my checking account, I was directed to a website that mentioned several insurance companies claiming they were not associated with them. http://bit.ly/anMSPR. This page if it is still up when you go to it is extremely misleading with several companies listed and a telephone number to call immediately to only get more evasions and their saying who they were not.

The game is obviously to get the consumer extremely frustrated and confused, saying who or what they are not, they don't know what i'm talking about, call another number, long telephone cues etc etc. -- Finally I got a number for Smart Data Solutions (SDA). I was referred to the billing department and asked who they were (since they were neither Premiere Health Insurance nor C3H) and they said they were a biling company for health insurance and/or other companies (all fraudulent?). I said I had called previously to cancel the insurance and they said they could not unless I signed an affidavit.

Mind you throughout this entire process I was dealing with operators and people who claimed they could not hear me or would misunderstand what I was saying repeatedly. It was a horrible experience to be sure.

I spoke to someone claiming to be 'Courtney' who said I needed to sign an affidavit to cancel the insurance. She said she would fax it to me. I didn't receive it. The next time I called they were closed for several days for some internal reasn. Finally I reached them again -- long telephone cues, disconnected, calling back repeatedly the person said it was sent to the wrong fax number.

Finally she sent me the affidavit and instead of a mere cancel of policy, the paper opens with 6 points that I must swear, certify and affirm including any further right to pursue collection by any other source in any manner  -- and finally at the end a token request for cancellation of the policy.

Consider that there are several complaints on Ripoff Report for this company, and that each may be indicative of an untold number who for all kinds of reasons chose to not take the time to report their highly contorted and confused and experience and you have a major fraudulent undertaking happening nationwide with what appears to be legal impunity. The reason is because the entire thing is set up to misrepresent, disguise, work across broad state lines and not create a clear target for anyone including legal agencies to confront them.

Now i'm going to my bank and will have to close the present account and open another. I'm also going to the police department to report this matter.

I'm not sure what else there is to do. Probably by the time you read this, you've already been sucked in by these unscrupulous people. I feel sorry for you but we need to protest strongly against such rampant insurance fraud in the United States.

To whom it may concern,

Your frustration due the customer service issue and getting a hold of someone in a timely manner came at a time when the customer service department was going through extreme weather conditions with sub zero temperatures and extreme snow in the Mideast and Midwest. The offices were closed due those conditions therefore any customer service calls were next to impossible for anyone to get through. We are deeply sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

We have since resolved the problem and issued a full refund to said client and this matter has been settled or is in the process of being settled with customer service. As far as our health plans they are clearly written out on our website in black and white with absolutely no misrepresentation. We offer 3 plans and any consumer who does their due diligence and research can clearly read what each policy offers and the benefits. We are very sorry for any hardship or aggravation you experienced and hope your satisfied with the resolution. We are an ethical company and strive for customer service and customer satisfaction. Thank you very much for your understanding.
