I applied for a credit card online and was turned down. A couple of days later I recieved a phone call from Premium One Benefit Service saying that they knew I was recently turned down for a credit card and that they now have me approved by 3 different banks to recieve a credit card.

To make a long story short, he told me that for 238.00 they will send me my credit report and the 3 banks that approved me and I could pick which one I wanted the card from. I told him that if this was going to cost me any out of pocket money I do not want it.He told me not to worry about the 238 dollars because I was also going to be able to get cash with my card and I could just put it back in my checking account when I recieve the card. I wont go into all the details of the conversation but in short I agreed.

The second I hung up I though "how stupid" and began my daily ritual of phone calls to the company. When you call this company all you get is an answering machine saying "all our reps our currently assisting others please leave a detailed message and someone will call you back. Needless to say, they didn't. I called every day at least 10 times.

I finally got so upset I called and on the message told them tha I was recording this message and I have a friend here to witness this call. I told them I do not want their service and I do not authorize them to take money out of my account.

I then called my bank and explained the situation to them, the man I talked to told me not to worry that he would put a stop payment on it and they would not be able to get any money. I was so relieved.

My husband went to deposit money a couple of days later and came home livid because 239.00 was taken out of our account. I was so upset. When I called the bank he told me that the reason the stop payment didn't work is the dollar amount was one dollar off.

Premium One Benefit Services still has not returned my calls. I recieved my package from them 2 months later which didn't include my credit report or any bank that I was approved for. They sent me a couple of copied pages that I could get myself on line of banks that offer secured and unsecured credit cards.

I am still trying to get a hold of the company and still getting the same message and still no one calls me back. What a ripoff!
