This company is a complete fraud!! They promise people with bad or no credit a credit card for a fee of $300. DON'T FALL FOR THIS!! They won't send you a credit card. Well, what do you receive for your $300? You get a box. A box filled with cell phone advertisements, phone card advertisements an application to apply for a DEBIT, application for a loan, and a coupon book. . . .

I was contacted by phone by this company and was offered an unsecured credit card with $2500 spending limit and a $500 a day withdrawal limit. When I asked how they had gotten my number they told me I had recently been unapproved for credit. I found this strange since I never applied for credit with anyone. I was told that they were a second chance credit firm for people with poor or little credit to build up their credit and that I was already approved. All I had to do was pay a fee of $299.50. I asked what the fee was for and was told that since I had bad credit, they were taking the risk in issuing me a credit card and the fee was to help offset the risk. The price was on the steep side but I agreed to it and was told I would receive my credit card in about 10 days.

After I agreed to receive a credit card, I was sent to a third party to verify my information. This part of the conversation and only this part of the conversation was recorded. So basically the only thing on tape is me saying yes to questions pertaining to my identity and bank information.

A few weeks passed and in the mail instead of a credit card I received the box I mentioned earlier. In the box along with all the junk advertising was a letter from Premium Savings Group stating and I'll quote:
Provided this is not exactly what was explained to you while placing your order, you may cancel within a ten (10) business day period. The entire payment made by you, less the non-refundable shipping & handling charges of $29.99 will be returned after receipt by Premium Savings Group of your returned package.

I called the phone number at the bottom of the letter and told them that I was promised a credit card and that all I received was an application for a debit card and because this is not what was explained to me while placing my order, I wanted to cancel. I was told that they had to put in a request for a refund and to call back in 1 week. I was then asked if I had received a manila envelope. I told them I had not. The customer service rep then told me that the credit card was in the manila envelope and should arrive about 1 week after I received the box. This calmed my nerves a bit, I was thinking maybe I jumped to conclusions and this company was really sending me a credit card after all.

About a week went by and I finally receive the manila envelope but to my surprise no credit card. What I receive was another application for a credit card through First Premier Bank. The same application that I can get on line for free: https://www.premiercreditcard.com/multiOfferLanding.aspx

Since I don't feel I should pay $300 for applications, advertisements and coupons that all can be found for free online and since I didn't receive the credit card I was promised, I again called back to customer service to cancel and obtain my refund. When I called I was told that my request for a refund had been denied. I asked why that was and was told that they listened to the recording I had made with the third party verifier and there was no proof that any false promises of being sent a credit card was made to me. Well of course they don't have any recording of the sales rep lying to me; they don't record that part of the conversation!! I asked to speak to a manager was put on hold and after a few minutes a man came on and basically told me the same thing, they had no proof I was lied to so I'm not getting a refund.

If this is not a scam, I don't know what is. Don't waist your money!! Everything they offer, you can get online for FREE!! These people lie to you because they know that no one in their right mind would pay $300 for advertisements, applications and coupons. The coupons aren't even real coupons, you have sign up for trial subscriptions of services from other companies and only after trying their services do they send you a $10 gift certificate to use at a restaurant and you are automatically charged for the subscription if you forget to cancel at the end of your trial. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before this company is put out of business by the Government. BEWARE! STAY AWAY!!

EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back!

HERE IS WHAT RIP-OFF REPORT SUGGESTS YOU DO:

Go to your bank within 60 days of the charge, or as soon as you know about the charge, don't delay, and tell them that there has been fraudulent activity within your account. Explain that you wish you file a dispute, and demand that they assist you in accordance with Federal Regulation E.

According to the majority of victims interviewed by Rip-off Report, those who immediately called their banks to dispute the charges did not get very far. Many victims got the following responses from their banks: we could not do anything for you or you waited too long; it has been more than 60 days.

If the bank is says that you have waited too long, explain to them how you called their 800 number as soon as the charges were found, and were told by the bank that nothing could be done. Remind the bank that they failed to assist you properly at the 800 # , and instead, provided you with an inadequate explanation of your right to dispute. Tell the bank that it's their fault time has expired, and since they gave you the wrong info to begin with, they will just have to deal with it, take the loss and reverse the charges.

Tell them the truth; this was unauthorized and your account was NOT to be charged! Keep emphasizing how you never authorized anything! Direct them to the hundreds of victims reports that were filed on Rip-off Report.com. And if you're at the bank, walk them over to their computer and make them go to this site! If you are on the phone with them, tell them you will wait while they access this site! Either way, be persistent!

DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!

Let them know nicely, that you were advised to Report them (the Bank) and this situation to the Banking Commission in your state. Since each state has a different name for the agency/comptroller over banks, find that name before you call or get to the bank so you can throw it in their face. The more knowledgeable you appear to be, the further you will get.

And just continue to demand the Federal Regulation E form! The bank CAN, MUST and WILL reverse the charge! But, you must be persistent; ask to speak to the supervisor or the area manager for all the branches in the state.

Let the bank personnel know you are meeting with the media later in the day, that you would much rather they do the right thing (as most other banks have) by looking at the complaints and immediately reversing the charge(s) to your account; no matter how long ago it was. Be sure to call the Media if necessary so you are telling the truth.

If you have to, be loud (but nice) in front of other customers. If you are just calling by phone, the above tactics should still work. The bank can easily fax or mail to you the Federal Regulation E dispute form.

CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT CARD

If the charge was to your credit card (not debit card, check card, or checking account), contact the credit card company as soon as possible to request a dispute form. Consumers usually have a little longer to dispute fraudulent credit card charges (up to 6 months), but it is better to act right away. In this type of situation, credit card disputes are usually successful since fraudulent companies often won't contest the disputed charge. In rare cases, credit card companies will review disputes, but refuse to reverse the charges. If this occurs, complain to a manager and let them know you will be filing a report here.

Remember Don't let them get away with it! Make sure they make the Rip-off Report .. The more Reports filed on a Company or individual, the more likely it is that the authorities, media and attorneys will want to take action.

And good luck Let us know how you do!

After Fighting and Crying

#3REBUTTAL Individual responds

I am so glad that I went on to this sight. I cannot beleive that there are people who actually work there and make people beleive that they are going to rebuild there credit. After me fighting with so many people they finally told me that the money will be refunding into my account within 5 business days, but I will tell you that I had to get real personal and let them know things that I don't tell people, and I had to cry.

The gentelman who was helping me told me that today was his las day, and he had to be careful because he was being monitored. But he did tell me that he was glad that I went on to the web site to find the information. So thank yo so much for reporting this, you have saved me from so much.
