They prey on people taking market research surveys, getting refunds for defective products , getting bonuses at work , etc . They create confusion on shipping dates and lots of times long delays on delivery of physical cards ...require ID out the wazoo many times...take 2-4 days to reply to emails ...say they haven't received required info, require callbacks and often times 'escalate ' issues to delay things , etc.

Delays and confusion benefit them because their cards have a 6 month (!) expiration date , and the company gets to capture and keep any unused money because of the nature of the card . It's legally a 'gift card '...it's their money you're using . If you order a card , it takes a month to get it or you have ID issues or wait for some kind of response from them..anything at all ..the clock ticks . After about 6 months , that's it . You lose .
