915.00 Pressler and Pressler acting for LL funding as a debt collector, issued a judgement against me for over $5000.00.  I was ill that day (I'm in my 70's), and although I am sure the statue of limitation had long passed, the judgement was issued.  I am an interrmittant worker for the state of NJ and 10% of my paycheck was taken out for this debt, and it was finally paid off.  Several weeks ago, I called and questioned why it wasn't removed from the credit bureaus, and was told I still owed money (interest) to the court officer, and did I want to pay over the phone.  I said "absolutely not", and on July 15th I received a letter stating they petitioned the court and my employer for $304.94, and asking the court to approve it.  I paid my debt (and should have gotten out of my bed and contested it as they would not give me the date it was written off".  My dockeet "DC-013876-8" is in the Superior Court of NJ, Law Div. Ocean, Special Civil Part, Toms River, NJ.  I am not working now, and only get 815.00 mo. from Soc. Sec. and unemployment.  My rent alone is 915.00 without utilities, plus car ins. on a 1999 car, and food, gas, several credit cards I have had to live off, etc.  Is the above legal?  I need help

Sincerely
Helen F
