These people pray on the world's most venerable. When we found out that they posted as a new debt on our credit report when applying for a home loan we tried to deal with them and paid toward an agreement ( unknowing that they were reaffirming a 20 year old Discover Card debt on the report probably illegally). Shame on us! These people and it's founder ( who used to be a NJ judge) got hold of us later and pushed us into bankruptcy. Low"n" behold, after we filed Chapter 13, they are now the first ones to get paid out of the chapter 13 payback plan. Don't get ensnared into their web. Before you reaffirm a debt from them, check to see if they actually have a judgment through your state & county records. These types buy debts for pennies on the dollar that were charged off years ago and are probably expired. If you pay them or agree to anything, you are reaffirming a debt and they will attach your bank accounts, paychecks and even your put a lien on your house. When clearing your credit & applying for a home loan do not make the mistake like we did. Clear what is on your credit report by checking it all out. Make sure if anything comes up that they have a bona-fide judgment debt or something valid on your credit file by asking them for a copy of any original signed agreement and check with your state on when it expires (do a Google search on debt in your state to get a list of legal parameters). Once you start to pay anyone in New Jersey or most states you are reaffirming a debt by default and that is all they need to go after you regardless if it is right or wrong.
