Complaint Review: Prestiege Pools Of Virginia Charles Fusco And Melody Dyson

We signed a contract with Prestige Pool president Charlie Fusco and his girl friend Melody Dyson in April 2007 to have a pool, hot tub, and koy pond, solar heating, sliding board, and waterfall installed. The project was to have initally been completed by September 2007. Fusco and Dyson subsequently wanted an additional month which we gave them. In addition we were told that in addition to the inital amount of money we would have to give them $5000 for the solar heating and $5000 for the delivery and installation of the waterfall, as per the contract.

In September, we gave them the check for the solar heating. Melody wrote us that she had paid the solar heating company. Last evening we were called and told that they were never paid for the work they performed and we are now going to have a lien placed against us. Charlie owes this company at least $16000. Charlie has not completed any of the work that he said he needed more time on, claiming he had not been paid by other people. However, what he has said is either not completely truthful or out and out right dishonest.

For example, he has signed contracts worth over $70000 for pools to be installed next spring and according to Charlie's own words, he has done over $2 million worth of business this year. The company seldom if ever returns calls when they know they are in trouble. Moreover Charlie owes a sustantail amount of money to several contractors for work they have perfomed. Yet when they call he does not respond. When you call he does not respond always claiming that he is in areas where he cannot receive telephone calls.

We are not the only ones he has done this to. He has numerous incomplete projects where he has offered the same excuses.

We have told Charlie that we are going to report him to the State Licencing Board.

DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING CHARLIE OR MELODY TELL YOU about their plight.
