I'm not sure where to start. Our Nobility Manufacturer Home has been a NIGHTMARE since day one.... We have been lied to, told off, and totally ignored desling with the problems we have had with this home. I have a website dealing with all the problems

The problems have beeb both structural, (unlevel floors, water leaks, windows that didn't open) and cosmetic (holes in walls, carpet seams, damaged cabinets and the list goes on)....

I have had mold growing in the kitchen under the flooring, of which they sanded the floor and told me it was gone for good. Yeah right! I have a crack down the middle of my living room that runs the entire length of the room, it has been fixed many times and reappears within days. I have interior doors and cabinet doors that don't even come close to closing properly or wee so damaged that they look used before we moved in.

Needless to say we were told they don't use that cabinet manufacturer anymore. Like everything else they didn't want to fix, there was an excuse.

My house had to be lifted 1 1/2 inches on one corner to make it level, that problem was corrected after 1 solid year of complaining myself and state inspectors telling the company to level the floor.

My air conditioner has never worked right.. One half of the house is 10-15 degrees hotter or colder depending on the season. I have had our local electric company out running all kinds of tests, they claim the unit works at the capacity of a old 3 ton unit, when in fact it is a NEW 5 ton unit..

The ducts don't blow the proper amount of air through the vents. I was told by Mr Trexler (Nobility President) there was nothing they could do. In addition, I had a blower door test (measures air flow into the house) done by the Electric Company, when the test was being done, all the vinyl in the house raised, none of the flooring is glued and I'm told that is because of the movement of the house.

Now if air can come in under the flooring, through vents and electric fixtures isn't that a problem?

My latest problem is caused by supposedly repaired leaks. In my front door under the vinyl I discovered the floor is rotting and close to colapsing. Also the repaired leak in the laundry room apparently has been leaking too, because the wall is begining to rot. I have called the dealer today and was advised that

(1) leaks fall under my home-owners policy

(2) that I had to contact Sentry Insurance (7yr Home Warranty company). This is a structure problem, not a home owner claim..

A year and a half ago I tried to take them to court (arbitration) you signed the application, you also signed an arbitration agreement. They refused to go, doesn't that tell you something? they don't even want to try to work with you AT ALL.

My suggestion to anyone thinking about buying a Nobility Home is RUN, and keep running. The Service is HORRIBLE, they treat you are if you are stupid and know nothing, the worst part is they are getting away with it.......for now.

After 3+ years of phone calls, faxes, so-so repairmen and being overlooked.

FINALLY.....
On January 6th & 7th 2003, two workman from Nobility did come and begin repairs on my home. Both men were very helpful and did do the repairs that were on my list.

1. Ceiling cracks / it took them less than a hour to make the ceiling look great. Someone knowing what they were doing helped I believe.

2. My kitchen sink was again replaced, this time with a stainless steel one.

3. Kitchen Cabinet doors were not replaced, but touched up with white paint of some kind.... and the hinges were replaced and the doors now close better than they did before.

4. The kitchen door was not able to be worked on but, I agreed to let it go. The repairman and I thought it would have been a bigger hastle then it was worth. The door was adjusted to make it close better.

5. The rotten wood in the electrical panel wall of the laundry room and kitchen was replaced.

6. The floor at the front door was totally rotted out....This was a lot worse then even I had expected... The men removed all the bad wood and replaced everything that was able to be replaced.... Standing water was removed from the "belly board" and resealed. I was also told that when we removed the floor coverings in other rooms if we found additional damage, it would be taken care of. I personally am hoping there is no further damage....

7. The heating/air conditioning problem is still baffling everyone, but I was promised that a mobile home heat/air specialist would be sent out as soon as possible.

Other notes were discuss, such as water under the felt paper on my roof and paper never removed from inside roof vents. These were discovered when we had to do a new roof, because of the leaks at the front door and marriage walls. These items were to be just noted for the plant, so that other homes did not have the same problems...

Yes, I am pleased with the work that was recently done on my home, I wish that it all could have been resolved 2+ years ago.... It would have made my home less of a nightmare, and more of the "Dream Home" it was supposed to be.

Nan in Chipley, Florida was not ripped off
however, she certainly did not receive the
attention nor service that any of our customers
deserve. Nan was a victim of too many changes
of personal in our service department and her
warranty complaints fell "between the cracks".

Our company contacted Nan after hearing about the
rip-off report and made an appointment to go to
