Complaint Review: Prestige Moving And Storage

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH PRESTIGE!!!! THEY ARE INCOMPETENT, CORRUPT, AND FRAUDULENT!! DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING ON THEIR WEBSITE!

This Company is horrible!! They quoted me $2500 less than what they actually charged! The movers did not come on time and Prestige said it didn't matter since they are not paid on a hourly basis. Furthermore, the manager, Bill Aponte (HORRIBLE MANAGER-never returns calls, sucks for customer service) told me he'd call me if they were going to be late. Never got a call.

The movers charged fees for tape, boxes, labor, etc. None of this was explained to me on the phone yet it was in a two sentence paragraph at the end of one of their confirmation emails that extra fees would be incurred for packing and materials (fees were not stated!)

Prestige subcontracted another moving company to move my wife and I from PA to TX. The moving company hired bums off the street to help them move the stuff in. Furthermore, Bill Aponted, told me he'd tell them to call me 24-48 hrs. before they got into TX. They never called, they just showed up.

After the move and we did our inventory, we found that we were missing a sofa cushion. We called Prestige and Bill said they had found it. Today is 10/5 and we have yet to receive or even a call for a status update. I have left numerous messages for the past month and they have not been returned. The Managers are never in the office and the clerks do nothing but answer the phones.
