Complaint Review: Prey-9 - Black River - James Albers German Shepherds

We purchased a German Shepherd pup from James Albers in December 2004. The dog is suppose to be of parents that were imported from Germany, show class dogs. We sent him the money in the mail then went to pickup the dog a few weeks later. We were happy with the transaction. We were told that because the parents were imports, we would not get papers for six months, as he would have to get them from Germany.

It has now been eight months and no papers. I have contacted James Albers several times by e-mail and phone to no avail. After seeing the other complaints, I realize we will not get papers. When we bought the dog it was on his website prey-9.com.

After awhile, that website disappeared but he opened a new one which was Black River German Shepherds. That website is now gone as well. His phone numbers are now unlisted and the other numbers are non-working numbers. He will pop up again, because he can't rip people off selling to locals.

We paid high dollar for this beautiful dog, but without her pedigree she is worth a lot less. We intend to make as much trouble for Mr. Albers, as we can. Every legal option shall be persued. He needs to fullfill his obligations or get out of business.
