i baught a 1999 ford taurus at price buster auto sales on 03/06/07, at the time i test drove the car it shifted hard . i stated i did not want the car and i and the sales person returned the car to the lot.

after arriving and explaining to the lot manager edward callahan that i did not want the car he asked his mechanic to look at it stating it may be low fluid or something. after approx 20 minutes the mechanic returned stating that yes it was low on fluid . so i test drove it again two more times and it seemed fine. i baught the car.

after a few days i noticed it shifting hard again .after a week it was very hard to drive. i called the lot the following week and was told they couldnt help me, i insisted and was told that they could swap the tranny ouit with another used car on the lot. i said i just did not want the car and wanted my money back .

edward callahan then informed me he would talk to his boss about buying the car back .i called back the next day and was told to bring the car in they would buy it back for 300.00. well i payed 2700.00 so i declined and stated i would get an attorney.

my callahan was quick to tell me the lemon law did not cover the car as it was used . the car now sits in my drive way and can not be moved. i cant work or go anywere. at one point following my last phone call with mr callahan the mecehanic made an offer that if i gave him my other vehicle a ford bronco that also is in bad shape he would fix the car for me wich i declined. it is my beleive that they knew this car had problems and although i dont know what was done in between teh test drives to make it run better, i feel i was sold a lemon.
and if price buster didnt know then the mechanic did for sure.

i have recently recieved teh tittle for this useless car and surprise for me the milage is not what shows on the car although the tittle does say not actual it is very off .

at my last attempt to contect price buster ended with being told they would not help or talk to me as i threatened with an attorney i cant begin to tell you how this has affected our lives. i want my money returned in full for the car

milage

#2Consumer Suggestion

Heather,
When you purchased the car the dealer is required, by law, to have you sign a paper that states if the milage on the car is true, or if the true milage is unknown. It is a yellow carbon slip that you should have received with your paperwork. If they stated that the milage is true on this paper, but the title says that the milage is unknown then that is a big no no, and they have a problem on their hands. I would also run a carfax on the car to see what it says (or have someone do it for you, it is not expensive). If the paper you signed does state that the milage is unknown (some people do not actually read this paper when signing it) then there is no recourse with the milage problem. I hope this helps, good luck.
