I purchased tickets from Priceline.com for departure from LaGuardia airport, NYC on the 21st of april to Springfield, Missouri. To return to NYC on the 24th of april.

The site states that all sales are final and that tickets are nonrefundable and nontransferable. With priceline you basically name your price that you are willing to pay and priceline negotiates that price with the airline company.

Also, priceline does not allow you to insert a time of day that would like to travel, not even a "special request" to see what they can do, if they can even try to please the customer. All they let you know is that the flight will be between the hours of 6am and 10pm. I named my price "$100" and after 6 minutes the offer was denied, however, they offered me a price to lock in, on the spot.

The new price was "$158" plus fees and taxes which would bump it up to "$200". Since this was still a great price, I purchased the tickets....STILL with no knowledge of the time of lights.

Priceline turned my 4 day vacation (the 21st to the 24th) into a 2 day vacation, by booking my flight time to leave NYC on the 21st at 4:00pm and arriving in Springfield at 10pm, too late for me to even call it a day to spend with my girlfriend. Departing NYC 4:00pm to Chicago, IL at 5:31pm. From Chicago, IL at 8pm to Springfield, MO at 9:39pm. Then returning, they have me making 3 connections, not too much of a big problem because I did only pay $200, but the problem is because they have my flight leaving at 6am in the morning, So priceline has truly turned my 4 day vacation into a 2 day vacation.

When I called up the company, they sounded like a broken record "tickets are nontransferable and nonreturnable" I contacted my credit card company to see if I could stop the payment and they told me that priceline would have to call them to set that up. Priceline kept telling me that there was nothing that they could do and forced me into a position to request my money back.

I truly believe that at a time when the airline industry is taking such a hit that priceline will grab onto each and every purchase that is made. They will never get my money again, they are very helpful and glad to assist you when purchasing from their site but they play very stupid when it comes to the matter of correcting a situation that has gone to hell.

Well I guess you got what you PAID for. You wanted something CHEAP & that is what you got. NO they dont care about times or such. All they care about is making the sale. Their Business plan is too seel Seats as CHEAP as possible. If you want extras like direct flights or convenient times, then you are going to have to pay more. I will always say, your best solution is to book directly with the airlines.

Also if this flight is OVERSOLD or their is WEATHER or any other problems, you will be one of the first to be BUMPED without compensation. You see PRICELINE purchased the seat from the airline & you purchased it from priceline. So your contract is with Priceline & not the Airline. And Priceline AGREED on your behalf to accept no compensation for bumping & gave up ALL RIGHTS & such.

Trust me on this as I used to work as a GATE AGENT for a MAJOR AIRLINE & whenever we had to bump, the first thing we looked for was PRICELINE Customers.........
