Priceline Hotel reservation was cancelled due to hurricaine, priceline refused to refund money. Norwalk Connecticut
Vacation package was booked to New Orleans Louisiana, Sept 4-Sept 9. Hurricaine hit , trip was cancelled, I received confirmation that hotel was cancelled on Sept 3rd. I also received a refund from American Airlines for fkight. I have contacted Priceline on several occasions requesting a refund, the customer care representative stated that Booking. com should refund the cost for the hotel, booking.com stated that priceline should pay.
This back and forth went on for approximately 3 months. In the meantime I contacted my credit card company who is in affiliation with Priceline to dispute the charges and was told that I needed to resolve the matter with Priceline or contact a lawyer because they ( credit card company) has to go with what priceline told them about the charges. I sent documentation to the credit card company to support my claim, they still refused to dispute the claim.
On February 21, I received a e-mail from priceline stating that I would receive a refund in the amount of $912.40. On March 8th i contacted Priceline about the refund and was told that I WOULD NOT be receiving a refund because I disputed the charges. I told the customer care representative that I did not know that disputing a credit card charge would negate a refund. I have spent approximately 6 months trying to get a refund. The customer care agents at Priceline did not seem to care and basically said to bad because you will not receive a refund from us.
