Do not use Priceline.  My husband and I were trying to book a flight to see his family for Christmas this year.  We decided to give the "name your own price" option a try.  After a couple failed attempts we decided to try one more offer.  We made sure all of the information was correct before submitting.  Offer accepted at 699.10! Hey for 2 round trip tickets we thought we got a great deal... until we looked at the itinerary.  The dates we had chosen were December 21st to January 4th... the dates we got were October 21st to November 4th.  After seeing this mistake we immediately called the company to change it.  The first agent we spoke to said that the flight was non-changeable and non-cancelable.  They said as a courteousy they would refund our money after paying a $100 cancellation fee per ticket.  I asked to speak to a supervisor but they said there wouldn't be one on duty until the next morning.  Promptly at 8am the next morning we called again and asked to be transferred to a supervisor.  They transferred us to an executive management team where that agent continued to tell us that the only option was to cancel for $200.  After getting off the phone with Priceline we called our bank and filed a claim.  They had us forward all of our documentation to them by email.  They said that the claim cannot begin until the charge to our bank had fully gone through.  After reading many postings about banks and credit cards losing this same battle, the next day we decided to go ahead and cancel.  At cancellation they told us that if we rebooked with them we would get the $200 back.  We were then told that rebooking would be a $30 flat fee and $7.95 per ticket processing fee.  We decided to go ahead and cancel and that we just wanted this whole ordeal to be over.  After cancelling we were informed that it would be $30 per ticket flat fee to rebook.  Not happy about this, we decided to look at other airlines.  We booked a great, cheaper, flight directly through another airline.  Now at this time the money has gone through, our bank declined the claim.  Upon checking the bank the next day to see if there had been any progress in our refund we discovered a mystery charge from Priceline for $100.  We immediately called to find out why and they had no record of this charge.  They are now asking for proof of the charge before they will do anything.  We are now broke and have to wait 3 days until we can talk to the executive management team again to hopefully get this sorted out.  If not we will be reinstating our bank claim and possibly higher options.  Total loss at this point in time is $314.90. We will never use Priceline ever again!
