I am helping my brother recover his $299 that was withdrawn from his checking account.

The unauthorized withdrawal was reported to Citibank and supposedly an investigation was initiated. When followed up a few days after it was reported, a Citibank specialist read a letter that will be sent to my brother about the results of the investigation: "Called the company; the company claimed the debit is correct; provided the number 800-871-9984 for my brother to call the company to discuss the status of the charge." This is totally nonsense since my brother already indicated that he has never authorized this withdrawal nor deal with this company at all. When the Citibank specialist was queried as to whether the company was asked for documentation as to how the order for services or product was made, the specialist just replied that my brother has a point. The specialist indicated that the investigation will be reopened.

In the meantime, my brother is short the $299 and the overdraft fees of $90 which should not have happened if the unauthorized transaction did not occur. It has been asked of Citibank to refund the overdraft fees.

Prime one benefits called my house pretending to be a credit card company and i was promissed a credit card with very low interest , at the moment i was pretty secure in terms of the speech that they give over the phone.

Anyway after a week it turned out that there is no credit card but a large package that contain magazine and some coupons. After all that they took $187 from my checking because i gave them my checking routing number. This happen about a year ago and everytime i called them the response is ,we will get your refund in 15 weeks.

Please help me out with this situations so that in the future it will be no other victims.

The company was finally contacted this afternoon - Melissa, a customer service rep answered. When told that there was an unauthorized withdrawal, she without hesitation asked if a refund is requested and indicated the company that withdrew the money is named National Benefits - not their company. She must have been briefed what to say but she just put her foot in her mouth - What is the affiliation of National Benefits with Prime One?

Why is she doing the refund of National Benefits? etc. Why is it that National Benefits have the same 800 number with Prime One Benefits? She asked if an affidavit has been signed and the reply was no but will be signed if the refund is not received. She indicated that the refund will be made within 24-48 hrs.

Citibank was contacted about the above conversation but was encouraged to continue with the investigation, refund or no refund from the company as this situation begs more investigation and smells fishy from afar.

Calling the number 800 871 9984, you only get either an answering machine which asks for your name, telephone number and a short message (I would not even give them the benefit of the data knowing what they can do), a busy signal, or you are put on hold indefinitely.
