Prime One called me on May 26, 2003, I spoke with a young lady identifying herself as Kristine 956, and said I could have an unsecured MasterCard with $1000.00 limit and guaranteed that every three to six months my account would be reviewed and I would receive an credit increase, for $187.00.

They got my bank account info and routing number to directly debit my account. They said I would receive my card and package in 20-25 days.

After I did it, I realized that it just didn't sound quite right so the next day I began attempting to contact them at the phone number they gave me 416-542-1611. To no avail I never even got a phone ring, the line has been ringing busy since I started calling two days ago.

I came to the conclusion that this had to be a scam. After attempting to call for two days straight, I began a search on the internet for the company known as Prime One Financial. To my surprise I cam across this site saying that Prime One is in fact a rip off.

I immediantly phoned my bank to stop payment. Fortunately I gave them my savings account info and not my checking and my bank will not honor a request to debit a savings account. Thank God!!!, but I bet they will try to do it again later under a different name.

Obviously these people are really getting around with this false advertisement and taking people's money. I live in Hamden, Connecticut and they said they were headquartered in New York. If they do somehow get money out of my account how do I pursue them in retrieving the money back?

I am in the process of speaking with my attorney to see if I can launch a class action suit against Prime One Financial.

I too have been swindled by Prime One Financial aka Prime One Benefits. During my search of this company I researched online with the BBB and linked this company according to the BBB to a law suit out of Illinois. I spoke to the attorny for the FTC and have found out that the company 1492828 ontarion inc. is not related to the company Prime One Financial. So if you have received the same call and have either gave personal info or not please report this act to the FTC on their website. The attorny also informed me that there is alot of these scams going on in the Toronto area. What you can do to help is call Phone Busters which is based in Canada. What they do is compile info for the police in Ontario for further investigation. The number is 1-888-495-8501.
