Like many out there, I was a victim of the Prime Peripherals Rebate scam. I purchased the 200 pack of 80 min CDrs that was suppose to come with a $45 rebate. After many months of waiting and failed attempts to contact the rebate center (forrebates.com and rebatehq.com), I found the "Rip-Off Report" website and used the tips others had described. I got my rebate check a few days ago and I'm happy the saga is finally over for me.

All you need to do is contact customer service with the store you purchased from. I got my CDrs at Office Max so I simply called up their 1-800 number (you can find it at officemax.com) and explained my problem. They transferred me to a rep with another office at Office Max and she knew all about the problems. She said Prime Peripherals was being investigated by the FTC. She took my info, called me back in about an hour, and my check was in my hands within 5 days.

So, I encourage folks to contact Staples, Office Max, Office Depot, or whereever they purchased from. Those folks want to help you because this kind of deal can be a PR nightmare for them!

Good luck,
Josh Gulley
