I am having problems getting paid for some training that I did for a Prime Quality Training, based in Singapore. The training took place in Ghana and Ethiopia in early May 2017 and invoices were sent for payment within 30 days.

To date I have not received these payments and have had numerous excuses from them, I have over 200 e-mails back and forward with the latest about some nonsense that states "The Invoice is under processing now from our Ethiopian account, hence it is taking little longer than usual as the foreign currency requires to get the approval from the central bank. We are pushing for it and will keep you posted ".

Before I take legal action, I wanted to ask my colleagues whether they have had this type of problem and how they have dealt with this. I also want to make sure no other consultant, such as myself get involved with this company. Latest update is 200 messages sent between us, at least 2 dozen assurances that I will be paid in 24 hours, and finally actually telling me that if I accept the payment in Ethiopian currency I may get paid, stating

“Dear Andrew, I totally understand the frustration.

However, I hope we also share some sympathy that business has up and down sometimes. Not only having you in line but we have lots of other vendors also pending. We have no choice but only to share with you the challenge that we have much surplus of Ethiopian currency now which this is not usable outside Ethiopia, that is why we need to convert to USD and other currency to pay for all vendors. Otherwise we would have been very much happy if vendors can also take up this currency.”

As I am sure most of you realize this is not a great situation to be in and I hope that none of my colleagues are in the situation, it is with regret that I think that it is best to let you all know who the company are that is refusing to settle their invoices.

Prime Quality Training Pte Ltd, based out of Singapore, most of my dealing being with a Project Manager called Tommy Nguyen and Finance Manager called Jimmy Lee.

I know that some of you will think harshly of me, but I not only wish to secure my business future, but stop others being exploited and lied to like myself.
