Complaint Review: Prime TV

I am another victim of the rebate scam by Prime Tv.

I purchased my DirecTV system from Prime TV in August of 2001 with the promise of the $140 rebate after installation. I followed all of the steps to receive my rebate in a timely manner. Needless to say, I still have not received the $140 rebate.

I have contacted Prime TV numerous times and have been promised a check in the mail each time. After my last attempt in March, 2002, I contacted the DirecTV, Better Business Bureau and the Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Protection Division.

DirecTV claimed they were not affiliated with Prime TV even though Prime TV uses their name in their contract.

The BBB passed my complaint to another area and I hope to hear from them soon.

I also heard from the Federal Trade Commission. The complaint was entered into the law enforecement data system. This information will help authorities investigate illegal practices and enforce the laws.

I urge everyone who has been ripped-off by Prime TV to fill reports with everyone you possibly can. These people need to be put out of business!!
