This Company is full of liars and ripoff artist....
their rebate offer is a scam to defraud the customer.....
they promise a rebate and deliver nothing but excuses....
i followed the detailed instructions for submitting for the rebate...
my paperwork was received and i was approved on Aug 22 2002 for a rebate on check which was to be sent on Oct 22....
that check has not arrived when i have called to check i have been given every excuse that they are red flagging it....
a supervisor is going to expidite it.....
they will send the info to accounting that is located in a different building and when they hear back they will call me........
of course when i requested a name and phone number in accounting they could not provide it saying they dont take phone calls.......
PRIME TV is a scam if i lived close to North Carolina i would pay them a visit and exact my own rebate from them......
the following are the individuals i have talked with there and they are all liars and con artist....
Jennifer MGR, Jess MGR, Pam, Tammy Sup, Ashely, Brad and Louis Brown.......
they are all dishonest and are rip off con artist. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company or Direct TV...
they are in business together....
and their only concern is to keep the customers money and not their word to provide rebates for starting service with them.

ANYONE DEALING WITH PRIME TV......forget about them being honest and upfront with you...they are indeed scam artist running a scam to keep your money and earn interest on it.......
they already have a built in delay of 2-3 months for you to become elgible for the rebate...and then you have to go thru the run around of dealing with them for several more months till finally you might get your rebate........
DONT WAIT...Send a letter of complaint to the Attorney General of NORTH CAROLINA...MR Roy Cooper....
you can find him via internet search......his Consumer Fraud department will get on it......his office has already won a $300,000 judgement against PRIME TV.....
he will draft a letter to PRIME with your complaint and give them 10 days to respond.....
usually their response is to send you a check ASAP for your rebate so they can respond to Roy Coopers letter saying they have issued your rebate.....in any event you get your money.......
Also all the customer reps you talk to at PRIME tv know the kind of scam they are running....so as much as it may go against your nature....do not be nice or courteous to them.....they do not deserve it....they are part of the scam. Be the RUDEST CRUDEST...most VULGAR caller you can be....make them as sick to hear your voice as you are to have to call them every day for months...
MAIL YOUR COMPLAINT TO ROY COOPER AG North Carolina.....he will make things happen for you....the BBB just sends letters of inquirey and have no legal authority to hold the company responsible for their dishonest business practice.....the STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL has that authority....so mail your complain to his office....

I Submitted a Complaint on 11/05/02 regarding the REBATE SCAM PRIME TV is doing to their customers. My Complaint number is #858149. Last week i received a voicemail from a representative of PRIME TV telling me that my check would be mailed out on Monday 11 Nov 02. She indicated she did not have a check number or how it was going to be sent out but thought it would be 2-day delivery. She said she was going to find out and give me a confirmation call back with that information.............well you guessed it!!!......she never called back. I called on Tuesday 12 Nov 02 and was told no check has been issued and that accounting now had my record. I asked for a point of contact and phone number in accounting and they tried to give me a false number....when i caught them on that they asked me to hold and transferred me to a managers voicemail. I left a very impolite message and called back again and asked to speak with a manager on duty......when i talked to the manager she indicated that accounting has my record and they cannot be called.......she has no point of contact in accounting to follow up with and that they would contact me...
This company is just running a REBATE SCAM on the public. They have held my money for 4-months now and i have been lied to over and over again with regard to what they are doing or promise to do to resolve this situation. The Attorney general for North Carolina recently won a major award from them for this very SCAM. They were ordered to pay $300,000 dollars to customers that had submitted for rebates some more than 2 years old..........Can you imagine the interest that they are making off of the customers money and then get nothing more than a slap on the wrist to pay back what they already owe.....and with new customers daily their funds just continue to grow as they continue their scam to delay the rebate payments. Let me know what ever i can do to get this company shut down and put out of business for good......This is totally UNSAT!!!. Even after i get my rebate i will pursue this thru what ever action is necessary to see they get shut down.
I have the names of all the PRIME TV so called Customer Service Reps and Supervisors and Managers that i have talked with dated and notes on our conversation. If you require this i will provide to you. Additionally i have voicemail and recordings of all the promises and assurances they have made to me to resolve this and failed to do. PRIME TV, The whole bunch ....all of them are SCAM ARTIST and LIARS.......This Company has no INTEGRITY, They are Totally Dishonest and should be fined and put out of business.
I have also filed a complaint with the NC Attorney Generals Office to inform them that PRIME TV is continuing to RIP OFF their customers for the Installation REBATES THEY PROMISE!...
