Primerica AKA PFS acknowledges rip-off Refunds money call Donna Guilmette hopefully for a full Refund Chicago Illinois
I was laid off / downsized / fired from a large company and have been looking for a job, but not in sales or in finance. I had been perusing the career opportunities and placed my resume on the Internet, I too was just contacted by a thickly-accented Primerica representative in the Chicago area.
I have no idea how Primerica got my name or my phone number as I never submitted it to them. The only company I gave that info to was to Monster.com. As a Citibank account holder, I had heard of Primerica and so I called her back. I listened to her talk, but had some questions. I wanted to know how they got my information.
In retrospect, she began to vaguely describe to me that yes indeed one of the 'vice presidents must have seen my resume and considered me a person he'd like to match my skills with with a growing opportunity in the Chicagoland markets. I inquired into what kind of positions were open with Primerica, as my resume was quite specific and not at all business or sales related, and the woman kept hedging around saying anything specific but 'our various executives' would like the chance to meet with me and see if the business opportunities they were building matched my interests and skills etc. She assured me that they were even members of the better business bureau, so I was immediately at ease.
I went to the Primerica church meeting and got caught up in the energy and the "hallelujah" BS, joined and paid my money. I made another mistake though and paid by cash. They put my name on their list, but never gave me a receipt. I have been trying to get my money back since May 2002 and just made the arrangements.
If you have a similar problem and want to get your money back, you need to contact Donna Guilmette; 800 666-7837 x8514.
