Complaint Review: Primerica

Primerica I hate to be lied to by a MLM wanker!

*UPDATE: Primerica recognized by Rip-off Report a business opportunity well worth considering - it's not for everyone but many representatives make solid commission incomes. Primerica takes appropriate action against representatives conducting themselves improperly, pledges 100% commitment to customer service.

My wife and I attended a "small busines" seminar about a year ago and of course filled out some "registration information." That has come back to haunt me. Today I am eating lunch and the phone rings and it is a person named Jim Walker.

He told me that he got my name and phone from Gary Johnson, who ran the small business seminar. And further that he "works for Gary" in the financial consulting field. He told me that Primerica, a Citi Corp unit was looking to open up (I forget how many offices in the Dallas/Fort Worth area) in the coming year and looking to hire a very large number (also forgotton) number of people and needed managers and all of that.

I asked what he was talking about and he went on to tell me that Primerica helped people with their financial matters. He went on in pretty good detail because I had asked some rather frank and probing questions.

Then I mentioned that the whole thing sounded very Multi Level to me and then he went on to lie about the MLM aspect of the deal. I really get steamed at people like this. He did give me the Primerica Web Site address (which did not work ... maybe their server is down). I put Primerica into my search program and low and behold I found this site.

Thank you for this site. I dont think I would have ever been a prospect but it kept me from asking stupid questions and looking like a fool. Isn't that what liars try to do, make you look like a fool? Just think, had the guy just answered my question with the truth I would not be writing this flame.

Today I contacted someone from Primerica regarding an ad in our local newspaper. I have an interview next week. I decided to do some research on the company as there are a lot of MLM businesses advertising these days. I have to say that I am disappointed to find out that they are an MLM as I was looking for a full time job not a contracting position.

I just want to respond to your criticism by telling you about my parents. When I was quite young my parents sold insurance. They worked very hard even making cold calls. When I look back at what they did I know that I do not have the courage to knock on people's doors. BUT they made a lot of money by being motivated, getting up in the morning and working hard. They were extremely committed to their clients. As they progressed I learned that what they were involved in was a MLM company. However, they didn't recruit a single person. They put food on the table by selling insurance and by providing excellent customer service. I ask you, what is wrong with that?

When I read what everyone has written about Primerica I think of my parents. Two uneducated but intelligent people making a living.

If I didn't have two young children I would rush in to this and be one of the super-achievers making lots of money.

The negativity and name calling that I see on this site will not be what convinces me not to work with Primerica.

Let me ask you a question, where do you work? Cause you can't be too happy there to consider opening a small business of your own. I'm sure that if you found this site, you did found other good sites about primerica. I found over 30,000 sites and I guess this is maybe 1 out of 50 ( exaggerating ) that puts primerica down. But it's good at the same time, cause it gives us PFA's something to laught about and it also gives us the oppotunity to teach everyone that thinks like yourself something new.

I'm guessing that when you applied to the company your working now, they call you that very same day and told you that you got the job, rigth?

Also you may want to decide, if the guy who talk to you told some truth or either lied, but I don't think he would talk great about the company, then answer your questions and then give you a wrong site. Won't you agree?

By the way I think that what liars really do is not to make themselves look like fools.
