Complaint Review: primerica

Primerica is a deceptive ripoff company that stole my money; I never got training to become licensed. New York, NY

*UPDATE: Primerica recognized by Rip-off Report a business opportunity well worth considering - it's not for everyone but many representatives make solid commission incomes. Primerica takes appropriate action against representatives conducting themselves improperly, pledges 100% commitment to customer service.

I was told I had to pay $200.00 for acquiring a license and taking a life insurance class. I was to receive training so that I could be a Primerica Representative and help people get out of debt, obtain a mortgage and buy life insurance.

While I was waiting for a class to be scheduled I was told I could sign people up for a Smartloan which is like a consolidation loan which you pay a monthly payment and the difference would go into securities or mutual funds.

I had a client sign all the paper work after he had lost his job, hoping Primerica could help his situation. It's been 3 weeks and he hasn't heard back from my recruiter and in the meantime he has gone bankrupt. (He was a good friend of mine) They were also after me to sign up for a smartloan, saying that I couldn't sell it to other people if I didn't have a loan through Primerica myself.

At this point I feel I and a lot of others have been ripped off and I want my $200.00 back

Well Primerica has also ripped me off! So I know how you feel. You are entitle to a refund as long as you have not taken the insurance classes. I unfortunately learned that after I took the class! I called the head office in GA and got some info on how to report your specific office. Call them at 770-381-1000 and ask for refunds and then ask how to file a complaint they told me they were going to investigate (after receiving my letter) what they did to me. So I will wait and see. Good luck!
