I was recently called by a woman pretending to be a recruiter who wanted to meet with me. As a job seeker, I have met with recruiters from search agencies and from within companies.

The "recuiter" did not mention a specific position, but made it sound as if she had serveral "opportunities". No mention was ever made of selling insurance or investments. Not until we met and had been speaking for 15 or so minutes did the woman mention financial services. I was confused and not sure why she had not mentioned a company name or what they really wanted me to do before.

So I came home and researched!

NOTE TO EVERYONE: Do Your Research

I found Primerica mentioned on serveral sites, mostly complaints. I will not bother with the "presentation" she wanted me to attend, as I do not want to sell insurance.

For anyone who likes or dislikes Primerica, I will say this: any company or representative that is not upfront immediately with what they do, be wary.

And again, ANY company you want to work for or otherwise invest with, DO SOME RESEARCH. It can only help.
