Primerica more interested in your friends than you and who you can recruit for your recruiter using us as a rung on an ever growing downward ladder Guelph Ontario
After an initial meeting I was told that I would be a great recruiter and staffer for my own office.
My training would commence the following week. Monday I met with my trainer.
She was very interested in my personal references. 4 of them to be exact. At this training session, She told me that they would call my references and after they finished talking about me they would ask my friends if they had an interest in coming to work for Primerica.
I told the lady repeatedly that she would NOT do that. I repeated myself. "I will not have you or anyone from Primerica calling my friends and asking them anything other than about me as a personal reference. I do not surprise my friends. They will hear it from me first, then I will call you and tell you if it is okay to ask them that."
She was obviously not impressed.
When I got home Monday, there was a message on my answering machine stating that she was going to go ahead and call my references (because it was important to my Independent Business Application), but that she would NOT ask them about their interest in Primerica.
I felt a little better about my prospects at Primerica listening to that message. That was Monday. It is now Wednesday and none of the four people I offered as reference have gotten a call from Primerica. There was an urgency there on Monday about contacting these people, but my utter refusal to have them solicited is what has, in my opinion, turned Primerica off to having me as a broker for them.
Now, this whole fiasco has cost me $212.93 for my IBA and the bus and taxi fare to get back and forth from Kitchener to Guelph. I am still waiting to hear from them about the approval or refudal of my IBA.
I was told that if I was refused then all of my money would be refunded. I was also told that if I was accepted and I decided to leave the company for whatever reason within the first 30 days, that I would get $162.93 back. That's $50.00 for my cost of doing business. I guess I got off easy...considering.
This is for anyone interested by Primerica's shpiel. Beware of their underlying motivator - to get your friends interested and from them getting their friends interested and so on.
Primerica seems to be using us as a rung on an ever growing downward ladder.
