I too like the many minions posted my resume to a job site such as Monster.Com recently.

I got a call from a guy who stated that he represented a company called Primerica, part of the Citigroup.

Then he questoioned whether or not I knew anything about Citigroup.

Then when I mentioned Citibank he stated that I was close enough and went on with his obvious script.

Highlights:
1. Are you interested in flexible hours, good pay
2. Have you thought about a career change?
3. Are you free for interview?
4. When agree to interview---mentions that it is an open-house type interview to feel each other out.

The best part of the phone conversation was the script. I felt at the time I was talking to the boss from the movie Office-Space.

I mean he sounded exactly like that boss and asked and answered all questions in the same manner of speaking and tone. I guess that "boss" is his role model and inspiration.

Because the open-house part sounded pretty flaky I did some quick research on www.dejanews.com with the input of "primerica & interview" and learned all I need to know about this nonsense.

This company is crying out to be hit with a class-action lawsuit

and uh by the way check out this page where they mention being sued numerous times themselves:

http://ww3.primerica.com/public/who/articles/metamorphosis4.html

and this nice tidbit from their same page:

PFS agents are independent contractors who pay their own expenses. The 10% of the sales agents who are full-time cover many of the business expenses for the remaining 90% The part-timers generate three-quarters of the sales volume. People at the higher tiers traditionally made money from overrides on the sales made by up to five layers of recruits beneath them.

"The structure of the sales force and the fact that it's part-time is not incidental to the marketing of our products," said Beyer, the retired PFS vice chairman. "We would have had a very hard time figuring out how out how to have a 100% full-time sales force doing nothing but selling term insurance."

#3UPDATE EX-employee responds

Thu, January 22, 2004

OK 9 out of 9 millions - are the ones I call them real americans. The rest are bunch of scared cows. Primerica is a cesspool. I worked for them as an analyst and I can attest that all their reports and all the accounting books are cooked. everything they say and do are twisted and covered up. They bribe all the officials from the city clerk to the judges to the regulating watch dogs. The situation is so bad that internally they lie to themselves. their y2k conversion intentionally was fugged up so the reports and procedures that supposed to be automated and follows some regulation guidlines ended up to be mannually reentered with the informations that the customer never knew and did not approved. customers are being bombarded with new rules and fake procedures to the points that they get sick and tired of reading those nonsenses and giving up asking questions because they can not get any valid answear from the customer services that happened to be bunch of con artists. Around 10% of their policy holders being declared dead every month but they keep deducting the premiums. Another scam is if the dead person had automatic deduction from his/her checking account they keep deducting until somebody take them to the court. and since they have the most powerfull lawyers working for them and, with the intensive bribing of officials, you ended up owing them money......in summary, they are 20 century mobsters. Any employee that lasted more than 2 years in there is a member of crime gang. We, the people, must stop their illegal actions and put all of them in jail for the rest of thier lives.

#3Consumer Comment

If all of these people are so sure that they were taken for a fool by this company then why not contact the Better Business Bureau? That is the place that has the real power, not this hate driven site. Since this company is so "horrible" then why have there only been 9 complaints in the last 12 months. 9!!!! Out the 6 million customers!!!! And in the last 36 months there have been 41 complaints. Now would someone please tell me how this can be bad.

1 of these total of 50 complaints was about advertising and it has been resolved.

2 were sales related and the company made a good faith effort to resolve.

22 were refund or exchange Issues 20 were solved and 2 the company made a good faith effort to resolve.

2 were contract issues and were resolved.

6 were customer service issues and 4 were resolved and 2 the company made a good faith effort to resolve.

8 were credit or billing issues. 4 were resolved and 4 the company made a good faith effort.

Anyone with a real complaint would consult the BBB. They are the real consumer watch dog. Not this site.

Everyone needs to realize that no company can go without complaints. But a company of this size to have that small of an amount of complaints is pretty good if you ask me.
