I have read many of the reports on this web site. The people writing in complaining are accurate. I too was recruited by a good friend of mine. The reason they want you to recruit immediately (before you know what you are doing) is so that you are excited and believe you are going to make money. And you have not had time to have bad experiences. My friend recruited me a week after signing up with them, telling me later that he had no idea what he was doing or why he was recruiting friends so soon after joining.

The phrases that are used by the recruiters are vitually the same:

"Expanding our offices"
"Looking for managers"
"No cold calling"
"looking to hire sharp people"
"4 funny banking rules"
"marketing arm of Citigroup"

I heard all of these things and countless other phrases that are virtually the same in training and in recruiting classes. I heard recruiters say the word job, position, manager.

All of which are misleading. Out of my insurance class of 36 only 6 got liscenced. out of those 6 NO ONE is still there. I did learn things that I am greatful for but the recruiting end of it is shameful and needs to be cleaned up. No question about it.

That's why there is such a high turnover rate. So GARY if your going to respond to this don't bother. This is my experience and nothing you say will change that. It is what happened to me. If your happy there good. I wasn't happy there and I did lose a couple of friends over it. I just heard from my RVP after 6 months of nothing from him. Guess what, the convention is coming up and he 'believes in me'. Nice try.

PS I was asked to cold call. I did see phone books out and recruiting from Monster. college enrollie lists etc.COLD CALLS. Trolling the malls and all kinds of bazarre ways to recruit people. And if I never hear the phrase J.O.B I will be grateful. Yes I have a job and I can feel good about it at the end of the day. And my day ends a 4pm NOT 1030 PM.

Yet another posting with virtualy the exact same pattern as numerous complaints here. I'm not surprised. I started summer classes last night with a Marketing/Management course that I am taking. One of our assignments is to get into small groups and come up with a business related presentation. After my experience with Primerica I suggested that corporate ethics/truth in advertising and marketing may be a good choice for a topic. I then began to relate my Primerica experience with out naming the company to the group.

As I am doing so I notice one gentleman growing more and more incredulous as I say what so many others have posted here. Finally, he could wait no more and asked the name of the company. When I said "Primerica" he burst out laughing and related the same tactics had been applied to him on three different occasions while he was working at his "put me through school job" at Sunglass Hut. Three times no less! Gary, I thought that these were "isolated incidents" that don't reflect how the company as a whole conducts business. Would you care to respond?
