Complaint Review: Priority Comfort Heating and Air

Saw an Ad in Craigslist for HVAC.  Contached him about installing a new gas line from attic to kitchen.  Came out and checked out the work.  Quotes a reasonable price.  Asked for $400 deposit and said he would start in 2 business days.  On the day he was supposed to start did not call, and when I called him he said he was waiting on a part that would come in later that day and would start work in the afternoon.

Next day he called back and said his truck had been broken into and all parts, tools, and wallet was stolen.  He would not be able to start working until his home insurance reimbursed him for his loss.  On day 3 he said he could start if I gave him another $150 dollars to get material and tools he had  lost.  I told him no.  He said he would try to get materials and tools on credit and would start the next day.  The next day came and went and he never called.  On 4th day I called him to ask for my deposit back and he refused saying that he had already explained to me that he had lost it in the break-in of his car.  Have not heard from him again.
