Rip-off Reports discussions with PriorTax.com revealed an ongoing commitment by the company to total client satisfaction. NOW TO THE ORIGINAL REPORT THAT WAS FILED

PriorTax.Com  Stole my money.  They are a scam company.  They prey on the poor. Internet

I foolishly used priortax.com to try to do my 2009 tax returns.  They charged me $50.00 for no services what so ever.  They stole my money.  I realized they were a fake internet scam as I was beginning to type in very sensitive information.  The website was not secure (first major red flag), then I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau and it did not take very long researching on the internet to find that this particular company which also has other fraudulent tax companies (I believe rapidtax.com is the other one) and that they have been ripping people off for years. There were many accounts of other people filing their taxes with them only to find out that they had been scammed, their identity potentially stolen, and your taxes are still not taken care of. I still want my 50 bucks back!  It looks like I will have to chalk up that loss.

I had to change my bank account and everything.  They still got my address, social security number, and where I work.  It is very unsettling knowing that my personal information is floating around for criminals to use.  These people at priortax.com are subhuman creeps who make a living out of scamming poor people out of their hard earned money.  They should be prosecuted for the theft and fraud they have committed against numerous people, not just myself.  What goes around comes around and one day these criminal internet thugs will get what they deserve.

I am embarrassed to admit that I had fallen victim to an internet tax scam but I was.  I am writing this so that other people know not to mess with these people when it comes to taxes, they will steal your money and your taxes will remain unprepared, not to mention your identity could be stolen.  I am also hoping that someone in the legal world will investigate and prosecute these criminals for stealing from unsuspecting poor people.  They are a fraudulent company!  Do not use them!  They do not deserve to do taxes, they deserve to do jail time!

To further clarify the matter:

After locating Matt's account on
our database, our records show that we did in fact
contact him shortly after he submitted his account to us. A tax
professional reviewed his return and requested that he correct his
income information so that we could complete the preparation of his tax
return. Instead of responding to our message, Matt apparently made
assumptions about us and proceeded to file a complaint. He never tried
to contact us by phone, email, chat, or secure message board. If Matt
wished to cancel his account and get a refund, all he had to do was ask.
Regardless, once we became aware of his post, we contacted him and
issued a full refund on the same day.

It is clear that our services were being rendered in a timely manner.

We urge our customers to log in to their account for any messages or
updates that require immediate attention so that we are able to properly
complete their tax return.

Our goal is to ensure complete satisfaction for all our customers.

We are always disappointed when a client finds cause to
complain about any aspect of our services. We work hard to address and resolve
any issues that may arise in the course of a customer's experience with us and
are always available to discuss any concern a client might have. We can be
reached at 877-289-7580, 10 to 5, Monday to Friday. Off season call hold times
are generally under two minutes. Anyone who wishes to cancel our services can
simply call or email us and we will issue a full refund. Further, any request
to have their account deleted is handled promptly.

For the record, we run a legit, successful company that has
been in operation for a full six years.

The client mentioned a concern for his privacy. Our privacy
policy is vetted by Trustee. In addition, we are Verisign secured and McAfee
tested on a daily basis.
