I was a member of prison talk online for three years. I would see that the owner, David Frisk would tell the members the web site was down because "it was a victim of it's own success". It would be down for days, back up, down again. He would say he needed all this money, a fundraiser, to keep it online. He greatly exaggerated the true costs. He did not reveal the income from banner ads, google ads, subscriptions to the Con Tact News or the ads on the newsletter. When you would bring this up, they got hostile. They would label you as a trouble maker. I asked the moderators several times for a refund of issues I never received. They asked us to go on "faith" and support this newsletter sight unseen. It would be two months late coming out, with no responses to inquiries about where it was. DAvid Frisks MOTHER handled all the subscription money. They would not give out circulation figures. Suddenly his mother has a sob story and can't do it any more. It was two months after the last issue was DUE out. I have not heard of one refund. They would post all these people saying "just keep the money". I said it is a BUSINESS not a non profit or charity. they took in money for ads and subscriptions, they need to refund the money. He bans people left and right who question him. I am now banned.

I have known David Frisk since 3rd grade. He was always a bully. I saw him on facebook and he enjoys a fun lifestyle in vacation spots and lives pretty extravagantly. I know he got caught stealing motorcycles back in the 90's so I wondered what kind of work he does today to support his lifestyle. I noticed he owns Frisk Media so I googled it.
Its not to surprising that the first thing that pops up are multiple reports from the rippoff report. He was recently burned badly in an oxygen tank explosion. It was about a year ago. He is now healed up but I alos noticed through google that there were multiple donation sites asking for money for his bills. I guess he has learned how to get money through the internet pretty well. Once a scammer always a scammer.

He always seems to avoid the subject of people he owes refunds too...He will comment on anything else you throw up here...but he sure likes to avoid the refund issues.

I would suggest that if you would like to be a member of his community in order not to get ripped off DO NOT give your money to anything that involves Prison Talk Online or David Frisk or anything associated with the two.
I was ripped off for the Con-Tact news and there is know telling how many others out there in the same situation.
I could of ordered a magazine subscription for my loved one instead of the newsletter and I wish I did.
