Complaint Review: PriveCo

PriveCo http://www.Priveco.com http://www.shopinprivate.com The most horrible internet customer service I have ever experienced. Reported to the Better Business Bureau. Troy, Michigan

I purchased a product from www.shopinprivate.com and my bank account was
charged the $13.94 on March 3rd. I still hadn't received the product
by April 8th, so I emailed the customer service address provided on the
website (comments@shopinprivate.com). I received no response, and sent a
follow-up email on April 13th. Again, no response. On April 17th I
sent one last email telling them if they didn't contact me by Wednesday
(April 20th) I would contact the Better Business Bureau.

On April 22nd I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.  In my complaint I apparently mistyped my address, because the reply I received from PriveCo was that the address I gave to them was incorrect and it was returned to them as "undeliverable."
I called them and pointed out that the address they had from my order IS correct.

The next 10 minutes was spent on the phone with Justin Felix ("Lead Customer
Service Rep") who blatantly lied to me: claimed not to have a manager, that he owned and ran shopinprivate.com alone so there was no one else to speak to; said that their packages were small and I probably just haven't seen the package (even though he stated in his email that it was returned as undeliverable); said I gave them the wrong address (even though I pointed out repeatedly that the wrong address was the one on the Better Business Bureau complaint which they didn't receive until April 22nd).

As I countered all of his lies and excuses, Justin became incredibly condescending saying that my BBB complaint was "irrational," that I was "hysterical" and "on the verge of tears" (!!!) which, I admit, made me angry to the point of hunting him down and smacking him.  He patronized me for "making a big deal over some cream."  And ended the conversation saying that he would re-ship the order even though he wasn't sure that I didn't already have it.  (again, he initially claimed it came back as being undeliverable)

If this had just been a situation where "oops - we messed up and didn't send it, we'll send it out right away and make this right" I wouldn't be posting anything.  I would have even given them the benefit of the doubt if they had responded to any of my three emails.  But the fact that they didn't ship, didn't respond, and then Justin was literally rude and condescending to the point that I wondered if it was a joke, makes me feel completely comfortable in saying STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!  Saving any "embarrassment" is not worth this!
