I purchased a 1999 GMC Yukon from Collin Thibodeau the owner of Pro Auto Sales in Kingman AZ on 9/20/06. I was issused a temp. tag intill I recieved my new plates. Now he has the plates and he wont give them to me and I already paid for them. He has no right to hold a AZ License plate that I paid for. He does not own the plates. What Can I do? The owner is very hateful and has threatned me serval times.

Thank You

You supposedly paid $9000 for this without test driving it????
As for the plates, do you have proof that you paid for them. I doubt it because you said "I didnt recieve any paperwork on the Yukon when I bought it!"

Dont drive it until you get proof of the purchase, the title and the plates in your name. From what you said, you have no proof that you own it and the seller could report this as a stolen vehicle.

I find it ver hard to believe that the customer was refused a testdrive before purchasing the vechile. I am the General Manager of the store still owned by collin thibodeau sr for the last 13 years. Pro auto sales insists on test drives to make sure it is the right vechile for the customer. We finance all vechiles in house so we make certain that the customer is happy with the vechile before the purchase or chances are it will not get paid for. As for the licence plates they are included and paid for by the lot. So the customer did not pay for their plates and the only reason we would have not given them to the customer would be that the customer did not even attempt to make the 1st payments they agreed to in the contract. I am sorry this customer was not satisfied and had to post this comment full of lies about our establishment. I can assure you that this is not how our small family owned buisness operates. wE continue to sell 30 plus cars a month with abundant repeat and referal buisness. If u have any questions feel free to contyact me at 928-718-1113. Thank~You, jason

"Pro Auto Sales wouldnt let me test drive before I bought the vehicle!"

Why would you buy the vehicle when the dealer won't let you test drive it!? You should have walked away right then and there.

I went back the next day. There is more to my list. The Yukon also needs a transmission. Need I say more? Do you agree I was sold a lemon? Does this classify as a major compentent? There is plenty more to add to the list but I thought I added enough!
Thanks for the info.

Direct from the AZ law:

Almost all used cars in Arizona are sold as is. That means that no matter what a salesperson may tell you, the dealer doesn't have to fix the car if it breaks unless (1) he says in your contract he will fix it; or (2) the problem falls within Arizona's Lemon Law.

The lemon law is:

Your car is covered by the Arizona Used Car Lemon Law if a major component of your car breaks before the earlier of 15 days or 500 miles after you buy the car. If it breaks, you'll still have to pay up to $25 for the first two repairs. The recovery for the consumer is the purchase amount paid for the car.

Note the words major component, nothing on your list qualifies, sorry
